Voters here in Illinois generally have no idea who is actually running for Lt governor in the primaries. There is almost no press coverage of these races.
In 1986, a LaRouchie ran and won in the Democratic primary for LtG. Democratic gubernatorial nominee Adlai Stevenson dropped from the Dem ticket and made an unsuccessful third party bid when the LaRouche candidate refused to resign from the doomed Democratic ticket.
