The House Debate on Health Care
Matt Green sends along the following:
I made word clouds of all of the comments by Democrats, and then by Republicans, in the House’s 4-hour general debate on health care from last Saturday. I scrubbed out all remarks made by the presiding Speaker, plus common words and phrases like “Mr. Speaker” and “I yield.”
Two quick observations: the prevalence of the word “government” in the GOP comments (you can also see “billion” and “trillion” in there), and the prevalence of the words “insurance,” “coverage,” and “affordable” in the Democratic comments.
Comments
Not as big as “government” but still there on the GOP wordle is “takeover.” Also, i”families” appears on the Dems’ wordle, but I can’t find it on the GOP’s. (Is it possible to get a list with frequencies so you can search for words?)
