There’d actually been a controversy recently about the political dimensions of the zombie-like game Resident Evil 5. It was set in Africa with a white lead and some imagery, particularly in the trailer, that made people uncomfortable. The second Left 4 Dead game will be based in New Orleans with a Katrina vibe, but that one is likely to prove less controversial as it avoids colonial overtones.

Must say I disagree with the conclusion. Mindless hordes of people advancing on the few individuals (ARMED individuals) left? Sounds like a conservative vision to me.
