How many minutes should you spend writing a letter of recommendation?
I keep it under 15 minutes, but others do it differenty.

Depends. For undergrads, I am a 15 minute guy. For grad students, I might spend an hour or even more.

It would be helpful if you posted a redacted version.
I only have written references for undergraduates, but it usually takes me an hour. I have a rough template but I need to look up their grades, class rank, and skim one written work (usually a 5-page essay).
