Governor Sir Charles?

It looks like Charles Barkley is serious about running for governor of Alabama:

When asked if he was serious, the former Philadelphia 76er said, “I am, I can’t screw up Alabama.” He added that his native state could only improve. “We are number 48 in everything and Arkansas and Mississippi aren’t going anywhere,” Barkley said.

I have the feeling that Charles is going to make Jesse Ventura look like Mitt Romney.

uhmm…don’t want to be accusatory here, but what exactly would differentiate jesse ventura from charles barkley? barkley is certainly no wonk, but I’ve heard interviews in which he speaks to political issues at the state level with at least the same acumen as jesse “i’ve basically got one issue that i’m going to constantly repeat” ventura.

Might want to rethink the reasons why you assume a higher level of expertise for jesse than for the round-mound-of-rebound.

Jesse ain’t got time to bleed, and he carries a rotary minigun.

Who knew the cast of Predator had so much political acumen?!
